Ozhaawashkwaa Animikii-Bineshi Aki Onji Kinimaagae' Inun (Blue Thunderbird Land-based Teachings Learning Centre) - Blue Thunderbird
Upon my visit to the Seven Oaks School divisions Aki Centre I was blown away. Their mission to regrow and revamp the tall grass prairie along with educating the students about sacred medicine, tipi teachings and more has been an eye opener. For many years we as indigenous people had been ridiculed and put down for believing in the earth. Now, we have kids learning about it in a public school. Let's just say I was very interested in creating a welcome sign/mural for their building just outside of the Winnipeg perimeter.
