Fort Whyte Alive reached out about having one of their Tipi's painted. I had creative freedom to do what I wished so I chose the Seven Sacred Teachings as a theme. I wanted the visitors to feel and welcomed safe while in the Tipi. I usually have Tipi's in my paintings. They are a symbol of foundation and stability for me.
The Rainbow at the top represents all people and the Teachings have a character of each animal or being painted with tobacco leaves and spiritual orbs flowing and falling. Other elements of nature were considered. The painting took place at Graffiti Art Programming on Higgins Ave. The space was large enough and I was assisted by Kailey Sheppard.
