Peguis Healing Center - Peguis First Nation
It was so fulfilling to paint these office murals in my home town, Peguis First Nation. The Peguis Healing Center asked me to create three small murals that represented Courage (Bear), Love (Eagle) and Truth (Turtle). I felt so welcomed and the painting went splendidly.
I grew up in Peguis and will always call it home. Our elders and ancestors fought so hard to keep our culture alive and I’m doing my part to leave something meaningful behind.
I’m always thinking of the future generations and of those who came before us. I was also thinking a lot about those who enter the healing centre for healing of their own. I hope these murals brighten their journey and all who work there.
